Holiday Helping Program

Are you interested in helping Independence House clients during the holidays?  There are a number of ways you can help.
  • Visit the Enchanted Village at the Cape Codder Resort  between December 2-25.  The centerpiece of the Enchanted Village will be a 16 foot tall “Giving Tree” with a 3.5 foot star on top. Guests to the Enchanted Village are encouraged to bring NEW, unwrapped gifts or Gift Cards for TEENS or non-perishable food to place under the tree. All donations will be given to Independence House.
  • Independence House is the recipient of the “Giving Tree” at the Cape Cod Mall.  Please visit the Independence House table at the mall on Fridays and Saturdays in December through December 17th.   There will be a tree with ornaments detailing special gifts you can donate that will be matched up to clients of Independence House and their children. Also receive a free gift with monetary donations at the table.
  • Independence House’s main office at 160 Bassett Lane in Hyannis is also accepting donations for new-unwrapped gifts/toys and giftcards for both stores and supermarkets.  Please donate by December 12th.
  • Would you like to sponsor a family?   Independence House can match you with a family who will be very appreciative of your gifts.
  • Food Pantry items can be accepted only if expiration dates have not passed.  Boxed, canned, jarred items are welcome.  We’re sorry that we cannot accept any perishables such as produce, meat or opened packages.

If you would like to help please contact Jean or Chris at 508-771-6507.
